Location:
Area: 17 000 m2
Client: RIF YAMAL
Appointment: 2021
Stage:
Service: Architecture, Interior Design, Landscape

The concept for the Centre for the History and Development of the Arctic was inspired by Arctic ice, which preserves layers of history from the prehistoric era to the present day. The building features five thematic immersive exhibition zones—pavilions.

The project’s goal is to establish a socially significant public space in Salekhard, attract both Russian and international tourists, and provide a new platform for public, cultural, and educational events.

The building will highlight Salekhard’s unique status as the only city in the world located directly on the Arctic Circle. The exhibition space is being designed in collaboration with Lorem Ipsum Corp (NY, USA).

Construction is scheduled to commence in 2026
