Yamal presented one of the five regional pavilions at the international festival—the Yamal Pavilion—which offers an immersive experience of northern life. The pavilion’s architectural design is inspired by the landscapes of the Polar Urals and traditional Nenets tents. A key feature of the rear facade is a media light installation that replicates the mesmerizing effect of the northern lights.
Inside, the pavilion houses a 400-seat lecture hall and immersive installations, allowing visitors to explore the region’s rich culture, unique nature, history, and modern achievements.
The Yamal Pavilion at the World Youth Festival in Sochi became one of the event’s most popular attractions, drawing over 13,000 visitors. Throughout the festival week, Yamal residents hosted 35 events, while dozens of renowned speakers—including actors, politicians, and public figures—delivered lectures at the district stand as part of the ‘Knowledge. First’ marathon.
